House of Hulkes is based within Hampshire, in the United Kingdom. The studio is located in Horndean, whilst designing and operational aspects take place from Southampton.

We often travel for bespoke design consultations, or these can be done via video call.

Some pieces are already in stock and will be labelled as so. You can find these on the ‘Ready to Ship’ page.

You can expect ‘Ready to Ship’ pieces to be dispatched within 48 hours of receiving your order confirmation. Please expect a short delay of up to one week if your piece needs resizing.

Most designs will be labelled as ‘Made to order’. These will be manufactured especially for you, as close as possible to the design shown, however please note it will not be identical to the picture. ‘Made to order’ pieces can take between 3-4 weeks and this includes designs from the Solum collection. It can take around 6-8 weeks for more complex designs.

Bespoke orders are case by case, but will generally take 8-10 weeks from the date of the design proceed. We will communicate with you throughout the process, so if you stay in touch with us then you can expect your piece to be with you quicker!

Throughout her years within the trade, Abbie has created strong relationships with industry leading diamond houses, as well as independent diamond and gemologist suppliers in Hatton Garden.

Precious stones are not only sourced from London, but also acquired from family owned sapphire and diamond mine owners in New South Wales and Queensland in Australia.

Our stones are also sourced from trade shows in London, and we can usually find any shape or size gemstone you’re after!

Natural diamonds and laboratory grown diamonds are atomically, optically and physically the same. The only difference being the conditions in which they are grown. Lab-growns are not imitations or simulants, they are simply diamonds.

Natural diamonds are formed deep within the Earth’s mantle over billions of years through extreme heat and pressure. The majority of natural diamonds have unique inclusions and growth patterns, which if present, determine the value of the diamond.

Laboratory grown diamonds are created in controlled environments using advanced processes that replicate the conditions under which natural diamonds form. Common methods include High Pressure High Temperature (HPHT) and Chemical Vapour Deposition (CVD).

Standard ring sizes are UK based. Most one-off rings on the ‘Ready to Ship’ page will be made to:

For collection pieces, please use the drop down menu on each ring to select your size. For pricing accuracy, standard sizes are offered, but if you need a custom size that is not listed then please contact houseofhulkes@gmail.com and we will quote and order your custom size for you. If you don't know your size, please email us and we will send you instructions to get the best possible reading.

Bespoke orders will be made to your finger size and include a free resize within a couple of sizes within the first month of collection.

One-off pieces will be listed as so, and will also list the size of the ring in the description. If you need a one-off piece sized, please write your finger size with your order. If you require a drastic sizing, it is essential you get in touch before placing the order to check if this sizing is possible- it may be necessary to make a new ring in the same design but to the correct finger size.

Please note if you require a sizing, this will delay your order by one week.

One-off pieces, bespoke and solid gold rings can be resized up or down - however due to the design, some pieces can only be sized up or down to a maximum of three sizes. You will be advised of the relevant information when you contact us for the adjustment.

Re-size fee is £50 excluding postage and takes around a week.

Please note, we will NOT resize silver rings - so triple check your finger size before proceeding with the order!

If you order the wrong finger size, and the piece cannot be sized, you must return the ring to us within 14 days of purchase for a full refund. The piece must be in original condition and damaged items will not be refunded.

Exchanges are not offered. If you’d like to swap, please return the piece and place a new order.

All House of Hulkes products are hallmarked as per the United Kingdom law with the traditional five stamps provided by the London Assay Office.

Hulkes jewellery, especially rings, are stamped at the Assay Office with our AHG punch as standard, giving a robust and long term hallmark. More delicate pieces will be laser hallmarked.

If you request a laser hallmark on a ring, you will be required to cover the costs of the reapplication should it wear off. It is important to note, future sizings will remove laser hallmarks.

Hallmarks are typically applied to more subtle areas of the jewellery, such as inside the band of rings, and on the back of pendants. We can ask for the hallmark to applied externally if you would like it visible.

Makers Mark - Initials of the jeweller = AHG (Abbie Hulkes Goldsmith)

Metal Symbol - Lion (Silver), Crown (Gold), Orb (Platinum)

Metal Fineness - 375 (9ct) 750 (18ct) etc

Assay Office - Panther head to symbolise London.

Date Letter - 2024 is Z. Certain fonts attribute to decades.

The precious metal market changes twice a day, and due to this, the prices are extremely volatile. For pricing accuracy, designs are priced to standard finger sizes, as well as the most requested type of precious metal.

If you’d like an item in a particular finger size, a precious metal which is not currently listed, or even a slight adjustment to the design, please contact us at houseofhulkes@gmail.com for an accurate quote.

Each design is totally handmade by Abbie, and we can almost always accommodate variations of designs.

We do our best to align our design prices with the current gold and precious metal prices, but the market adjusts two times a day, 10:30am and 3pm. (UK time.)

This means we can sometimes miss spikes and drops in the precious metal markets; this can be detrimental to small and independent jewellery businesses. We always aim to keep our precious metal prices as low as possible, in order for everyone to enjoy gold, silver, and platinum fairly.
